Smooth Summer Feet

I love summer, I love getting cute pedi's and I love my sandals! (I can't stand to wear shoes.) The only problem is the bottom of my feet.  I can't stand it when my feet are rough and callus like.  (Makes me cringe!) To keep my feet smooth and soft this is what I do:

I have this little inflatable foot spa I use to soak my feet in. (This is temporary until my sister gets me a really nice foot soak spa for Christmas hint, hint, hint!!!) I will fill it up with warm water and pour in some Epsom salts.  Dr. Teal's Lavender Epsom Salts are my favorite.  They smell fabulous!

I usually soak my feet for about a half hour. This is my relaxing time! I love reading books while I soak my feet.

After I am finished with soaking my feet I take Heel to Toe Foot Scrub and put it on a Mr.Pumice bar.

Next thing I do is scrub, scrub, scrub! I scrub the bottom of my heel and the sides of my foot. I scrub quite a bit. I then rinse, dry and apply some lotion.

Ahhhh....my feet feel amazing now! I love it!

*Dr.Teals Epsom Salts- Walmart Less than $5.00
*Heel to Toe Foot Scrub- Sally's Less around $5.00

My Daily Face Regimen

My daily face regimen products

Three times in the past few weeks people have complimented me on my face.  My cousin Misty told me my skin looks like porcelain (Which was a huge compliment considering she is gorgeous!), a woman at panera gave me a compliment on my skin and there was a couple of girls in my classes that  were shocked when I told them my age. (I love that reaction! And I hope that I age like my Momma, she definitely doesn't look her age!) So here it is:

Morning Routine

In the morning I wash my face with Clean & Clear Morning Burst.  About 3 times a week I will use St. Ives Fresh Skin Invigoration Apricot Scrub in the shower. When I am putting my make up on the very first thing I use is Collagen Filler on the target wrinkle areas. (around eyes to prevent crows feet, forehead lines, and laugh lines) Once it dries I put on some Clinique SPF 40 Super City Block sunscreen.  (I have super oily skin and this is amazing! I just got it recently & LOVE it! It doesn't make my skin feel oily at all!) I used to tan when I was younger and now I could just kick my self for it. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS use SPF ladies!!!! I always use it!!! (And don't forget your ears! My Anatomy instructor told us a lady had to have the top of her ears amputated because she was out in the sun every day and used sunscreen but never thought about her ears!)

Nightly Routine Products

At night I will take my make up off with make up removing wipes and slather on the Noxzema.  I do not wash this off right away- I leave it on for a few hours before bed.  (I read an online article on a lady who asked her grandmother what she used on her face because she had no wrinkles and she said she used Noxzema.  She would put it on & sleep with it on and wash it off in the morning.  -I just can't do that! I feel like it would make my pillow case gross.) After I have that Noxzema on for a few hours and wash it off, my face feels so amazingly soft! Then I will put on some Dickinson's Witch Hazel. (It is non-drying and conditions pores to maintain clear & smooth skin.  It is 100% natural and I'm not going to lie, it doesn't smell the greatest!)

Before I go to bed

After I feel that the Witch Hazel has dried I will put my moisturizers.  First I put on my trusty Collagen, (but this time not around the eyes) Ponds cream on my face and Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream.  (I just got this the other day.  I like it so far!) I am constantly trying new things and changing it up a little, but this is what I am using & loving right now.

*Clean& Clear Morning Burst, Dickinson's Witch Hazel, St.Ives Scrub, Noxzema & Ponds:
Around or Under $5.00 at Walmart & Target

*Clinique Super City Block Sunscreen SPF Moisturizer $19.99 at Peebles

From GED to PhD- Motivational Autobiography

I just wanted to share this book I just read.

(I bought this book on my kindle for $6.99)

Dr. Bon Blossman is on one of my favorite shows, Big Rich Texas on the Style Network
When I first started watching Big Rich Texas I thought Bon & her daughter Whitney were just dumb blonds.  They portrayed her and her daughter as  typical blond bimbos. But in all reality she is anything but that! This is a great inspiring book if you are contemplating going back to school, or thinking about achieving a dream that seems out of reach. She writes about growing up in a wealthy home, her behavior/karma, having a child at a young age, her education, meeting her husband, her career and her struggles & accomplishments. She really does seem like the girl next door.  I was feeling very uninspired about going back to school and after reading this book I feel really motivated! Hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I did :)

The Look Bag

I know I blogged about The Look Bag on my old blog, but I got it again this month & thought I'd explain it to those who didn't read about it before. A couple of months ago I was looking at The Real Housewives of New Jersey bios.  Jacqueline Laurita is my favorite house wife.  While reading her bio I saw where she is the beauty curator for The Look Bag and a creator of a celebrity boutique on  thelookstore.com. (To visit these sites just click on the blue words) So I went to that website & checked out The Look Bag.

Mark Hamptons Maxi Dress

Mark Hamptons Collection: Easy Going Maxi Dress
$35.00

I know I blogged about this dress before in my old blog that was deleted, but I LOVE this dress!
I bought this dress a couple of months ago from my friend Lyndsay.  She sells Avon/Mark. As soon as I saw this dress I knew I had to have it! It is just so darn cute!  It is the best thing in the world to wear on Hot days when you are too lazy to shave you legs! LOL!

Vaseline Aloe Fresh Gel

Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Gel
Hello! I wanted to share with you today my absolute favorite summer must have.  When I lived in Texas it was so blazing hot you would instantly sweat if you went outside.  And I wore shorts or dresses every single day, which meant I had to shave just about every day.  When I shave my legs instantly dry out.  I hated wearing regular lotion because when I would start to sweat it felt like the lotion was melting off my skin.....gross!!! When I used this Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturizing Gel it 1. Smelled amazing, and 2. Felt great on my skin & never "melted" off my legs when I got too hot.  You can get it at Walmart, Target & some drug stores. Hope you like it as much as I do! It is definitely a summer beauty staple for me!

Spinach Pear Salad

Khloe Kardashian-Odom's Spinach Salad

I was on twitter  the other day and I was looking at Khloe Kardashian-Odom's pictures.  I saw this amazing looking salad.  All you need is spinach, feta cheese and pears. (She used pecans in her salad) You don't even need salad dressing! I just put a wee little bit of pear juice in the bottom.  It was delish!!!

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope ya'll had a fabulous weekend!

I get on twitter everyday and visit peoples twitter accounts who give me inspiration. (Especially in the morning to get my day going!)  One person in particular I visit the most. Every day Victoria Osteen tweets something inspirational. One of the tweets she said today was "Before you were ever born, God put a blessing on you. Activate the blessing by eating at the table of obedience."  This really spoke to me today.  I feel like I have been living a crazy schedule lately and I haven't been including enough God time that schedule.  I feel like the more time I put into our relationship the more he blesses me....And let me just say, I need all the blessings I can get right now! ;)

My New Favorite Lipstick

I went to Target the other day and as I was browsing throughout the make up aisle and found this amazing lipstick! It is L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm. It goes on so smooth and it's SPF 15. I have worn it all week! Not too bad for $5.99!

I'm wearing color 819 Caramel Comfort
