Review on the Wet & Wild Fergie Palette

I usually like Wet & Wild eyeshadows. They go on really nice for such a cheap product. I use Walking On Eggshells almost everyday and I love it. I have tried other Wet & Wild eyeshadows and have liked them, so I figured I'd love Fergie's new one. I applied it to the back of my hand and it barely showed up! Only the black was visible....epic palette failure!!!! Needless to say, I don't recommend this product and I retuned it to the pharmacy and got my money back.

Have you ever tried it? What did you think?

Review of Some Foundations For Oily Skin

Estée Lauder DoubleWear
Cover Girl Clean Whipped Cream
L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

Over the past month I have been trying different foundations. I have SUPER oily skin! I never used to, but over the past 6 months I have all of a sudden turned into an oil pit! At first I tried Cover Girl's Clean Oil-Control foundation. It didn't please me. I had to keep blotting and powdering throughout the day. Then I tried Neutrogena's Shine Control. I felt like it was better than the cover girls, but still just as bad with having to blot and powder throughout the day. I even tried Clinique's Stay Matte and it was worse than the Neutrogena brand. I was ready to pull my hair out!
One day I was telling my dear friend Cole, a former make-up artist, about my dilemma. She told me to try Estée Lauder's Double Wear. It was a miracle foundation!!!! It is definitely the best foundation for oily skin. However, it's super expensive. So I decided to try out a couple more. I'm now on a quest to find the perfect dupe for Estée Lauder's Double Wear!

Here are my reviews on these  three foundations:

Estée Lauder Double Wear
This foundation is hands down the best I could find for oily skin. Rarely do I have to blot or powder throughout the day. The only time I feel like I have to do that is after I have been sweaty. I feel like it has full coverage and applies very well. I only have two things I don't like about it; the price and it has no SPF in it. Other than that it is fabulous.

Covergirl Clean Whipped Creame
I know I said I didn't like the original above, but I figured I would try this out. I heard a lot of bloggers talk about how much they loved it. Since this is obviously a different formula, I figured I would try it out. I went on great and my face felt fresh. I liked it until lunch time and I looked in the mirror and my face was really shiny. Ugh! I definitely DON'T recommend this for people with an oily skin type. (If you don't have an oily skin type I'd try it, it does feel good on the face!)

L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation
Ladies, you have to try this!!!!! This stuff is sooo cool! When I first bought it and shook the bottle, it felt so thin as if I was shaking a bottle of water. When I used it, I applied it to my face with my fingers. (This is not a foundation that you would use with a sponge or brush.) As I was applying it, I noticed it felt different than any other foundation. It goes on wet, but dries powdery. It makes your face feel so smooth, kind of like silicone. (Weird, I know!) I apply it in the morning, and by night it still looks good. My skin does feel a little oily, but doesn't look it. Also, it has SPF in it! Yay! This is no way a dupe for Estée Lauder, but it is great for oily skin! I highly recommend it!

Have you tried any of these?
What do you think???

Fab 5 of the Week 8/11

What a hard week to get through.
A friend from back home passed away and his funeral was this past Thursday.  It was so sudden and tragic.  Coming in for it, my old BFF and roommate L, who dated him for 5 years.  It was very bitter sweet.  I hate the reason why L had to come back home, but it was so nice seeing her.  It was as if time had never passed.

#1. Aunt J, L, and Casey Jo
L & me.  This was taken as I was dropping her off at the airport.  I miss her already.

#2. While in town, I visited with my Grandparents.  Lily loved playing with their cat.

#3. My Grandparents gave me apples from their apple tree.  These are the most amazing tasting apples I have ever had.  They make the best applesauce! So that is what I did today...make homemade applesauce and froze it....yum!

#4. The American Queen came into my hometown.  I love Marietta, my little hometown.  It's an old riverboat town.  It has a stern wheeler festival very year.

#5. My latest addiction...so good!!!!!
