I love this gorgeous lacy shirt.  However, I could only wear it today with a light sweater.  Today's weather is a high of 69 degrees....in the middle of summer....in PA!

Where is summer???

My 12 Summer Must Haves!

1. I am in love with this fresh new color! It is Essie's Boom Boom Room!

(Trick- Put on 3 very LIGHT coats!)

 

2. A cute new pair of shades. I got these adorable shades from Gabes for $3.99! What a steal!

 

3. While shopping with my sister Casey Jo, I found these chic new sandals from Target. Whites & brights are in this summer!

 

4.  I LOVE chap sticks! (Actually, all lip products in general.) I try all kinds of brands and I like so many of them.  My hands down, absolute favorite, holy grail chap stick will always be the classic black Chapstick brand chap stick.

 

5. Ladies, always, always, ALWAYS use SPF on your precious face!!! I have super oily skin, and unfortunately, my foundation doesn't have SPF in it.  I have tried BB creams, sunscreens and they either break me out, or I have to blot my face 3 times a day.  Not with this! It is Clinique's super city block.  It is a little pricey, but I don't need to blot my face through out the day and I'm not shiny. I bought this last year and still have so much left over!

 

6. I am all about hats!  I got this cute hat from Sam Moon. I think I paid $9 for it.

 

7. I have been into cross body bags lately.  I also got this one from Sam Moon. $22.99

 

8. In Style magazine.  I LOVE  this magazine! This is by far my favorite out there.  I get so much inspiration from it. 

 

9. These bright colored necklaces are in this season!!! I think they are so cute! I love these because they are such an easy way to dress up your look.  I got this from Gabe's for $5.99! -That's right, a necklace & earring set for $5.99!

 

10. If you watched my May Hits & Misses video, you would have seen my all time favorite summertime lotion.  I love using Vaseline Aloe Fresh gel (lotion).  I always use moisturizer after shaving, but in the summer I get so sweaty.  I know it's gross, but I even sweat behind my knees.  I can't stand to put lotion on my legs, just to feel it melt off when I start sweating.  Gross! I don't have that with Aloe Fresh.  I LOVE it!!!

 

11. I am an anti-tanning bed kind of girl.  (I did my share of it when I was younger, but I am all about preventing skin cancer and preserving my face!) I try different self tanners.  I must say, this is my new fav! Jergens Natural Glow foam.  I felt like it blended evenly with my skin. 

Note: If your self tanner is more than a year old, pitch it!!!! If may look good at first, but as the day wears on you start turning orange!!! I have learned this on 2 different occasions!!!

 

12. Every girl needs a cute bathing suit for the summer time.  Even if you don't make it to the beach and end up in the back yard kiddie pool with your beach chair and a cooler of your favorite drinks & an In Style magazine....don't judge! lol!

JJ the Maxxinista! TJ Maxx mini haul

The other day I went to TJ Maxx. I found some amazing deals...as usual. Nothing makes me more excited than saving money on name brand items!!!

I can't believe I found this!!!! A $325 Badgley Mischka handbag for $49! This was my best deal of the day!!!!

This charger will definitely come in handy!!!!

Say what? This conditioner for $5.99? I heard it is awesome....I can't wait to try it out!

Of course I can't leave without getting something for Lily!

DIY Photo Necklace

Want to make a super cheap gift from the heart? How about a photo necklace!

It is so cute & very easy to make.

 

 

You only need 4 things to make it:

  *Picture                      

    *Crystal Drop               

*3D Crystal Lacquer

*Chain                      

 

First pick out the picture you want to use.

 

Next get round glass crystal drop.

(I got it from Hobby Lobby...Crafts 2000 has them too)

 

Put the round glass over the part of the picture you like and trace. 

(I like using an x acto but I couldn't find mine)

 

Cut the traced outline.

 

Next, get some 3D crystal Lacquer

(I got this from crafts 2000)

 

Dab some of the Lacquer to the flat side of the round glass.

 

Take your round photo cut out and place it face down on the lacquer.

This will get messy so have a wet paper towel handy!

 

Flip it over to make sure there isn't any air bubble you you'll need to smooth out.

And let dry!!!! I let mine dry for an hour.

 

Add your chain and voila`!

 A beautiful heartfelt gift!

Today HOSA went Christmas caroling at a local nursing home.

We were suppose to wear something Christmasy. I don't have any Christmas themed clothes so I wore a plain red long sleeved shirt and a Christmas light necklace.

Sam Moon

Anyone who knows me, knows my love for shopping.  I love, love, LOVE to shop! If  you want something in particular I can usually tell you where you'll find it the cheapest.  My favorite place to shop for jewelry, accessories and purses in Texas was Sam Moon.  It was sooo close to where I lived in The Woodlands.

Walking into this store was like walking into heaven! They sell hair pieces, luggage, hair accessories, all kinds of jewelry,  scarves, hats, belts, shirts, all kinds of purses & wallets, sandals.... and I know they have much, much more. This store is about the size of a regular Walmart.  It is huge! I think I love going here so much because back home everyone gets the same stuff because there isn' t much of a variety to shop from.  I knew I'd miss it once I moved. 

A couple of months ago I was telling my hair dresser about that store because she really liked the necklace I was wearing. I told her about Sam Moon.  She asked me if they had a website.  ....Duh! Why didn't I think of that?!?!? So I went online as soon as I got home & found it!  I was like a kid on Christmas morning! I was so excited I can still get my favorite cute & cheap accessories from Sam Moon!!!

Last week while I was shopping online I decided to check them out.  I found this purse I had to have and 3 rings that matched different necklaces I have.... I'm in love!

My Fab 5 Of The Week

This week seemed to go on forever!!! I was soooo glad when the weekend finally came around.  Now I'm bummed to go back to reality tomorrow.

1. Sunday N took me to the fair. He played some games and won me a fish.  I was so excited.  I know, I am so ridiculous, but the littlest things excite me! Well, not even hour after we brought it home it died.  N found him belly up :(  So Monday he took me to Pet Smart and bought me 3 more :)

 

2. My friend Anjee, who was also Ryder's breeder, knows how heartbroken I still am over the loss of my little Chihuahua. She gave me the website of Pet Memorial Jewelry. I loved it.  I had this necklace made in memory of my little Ryder.

 

3. I love Bristol Palin's Life's A Tripp! It is such a cute show! Well, apparently my DVR hasn't been recording it.  I just happened to stumble over all the episodes I've missed On Demand. 

4. I love it when you don't study for a test and are still able to get over 100%!!! -Well, kinda. I was VERY lucky to get this! Our MLT instructor didn't have us study for some of the questions so if we got any of them right we got them as bonus! Thank you Lord!  

5. N took me to see The Watch this weekend.  It was so much better than I thought it would be!
