My Fab 5 Of The Week

What a wonderful week! School started back up for me this past Wednesday. I'll be honest, it is nice being back in a routine! I missed the girls in my program too! :)

My "G-Pa"

1. Earlier this past week I had family dinner with my Papaw, Aunt & Uncle, Parents & Sis.  It was so nice getting to see them & catch up. Afterwards my Papaw posed for this pic.  He is so darn cute! He was going for a "Gangsta" look lol!

My Aunt & Cousin B

2. Sometimes when I visit back home I go back to my old job and visit everyone I used to work with on midnights.  This night was my cousin B's last night.  She got a new job :) I miss working with them sooo much!

3. One of the things I miss most about living back home is walking by the river.  My beautiful hometown has a bicycle/walking path by the river.  It is so peaceful.

T & I

4. Before going back to school, my friend T & I had a pedi day.  We have been friends since we were kids. We may not get to see each other very often, but when we do we always seem to pick up right where we left off.  I just love her!

Barn Party :)
Kelly, Dee, Judy, Me & Aunt Jen

1. This past weekend was the annual Barn Party on Offenberger Mountain. It is one of my favorite things about fall.  There is music, karaoke, good food, good drinks, good people, hoodies and a fire going. (And it's Travis's birthday!)  You just kick back, relax, and visit with friends. Doesn't get better than that!

Me with the official Offenberger Mascots!

Too much fun!

Paxton likes to party too!

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Products

Shampoo $4.72
Conditioner $2.96
5-In-1 Spray $4.72
Walmart

While I was on vacation I used my sister's shampoo.  She uses Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Shampoo & Conditioner.  After swimming in the ocean and getting wind-blown hair we were both surprised that once we washed our hair it washed out smooth.  We talked and both figured that we would have to use a detangler before we washed our hair, but we were both pleasantly surprised when we didn't even need to use it.  I was so impressed that I decided to try the Sleek Finish 5-In-1 Serum Spray with argan oil. I am on the fence on this one.  I'm not quite sure if I really like it yet.  It does make your hair beautiful & shiny, but a little goes a long way!!!!! You barely have to use any.  If you get too much in one spot you end up with a spot in your hair that looks greasy/wet. I have still not mastered the perfect hair to spray ratio and that is a little annoying.  (If you do get too much in one spot and your hair looks a little greasy brush in a very small amount of powder in your hair to absorb the oil.) Have you tried it? If so let me know what you think!

Candy Corn M&M's

I found them!!!! I have been looking for these M&M's everywhere since I saw the commercial! I finally found them at Target. They are white chocolate and taste similar to candy corn. (not exactly like them, but close enough) They taste pretty good too! My new fall fav :)

My Fab 5 Of The Week

This week I went on vacation with my family to South Carolina.  We stayed in this cute little community called The Keys.  I went with my Grandparents, Parents, Sister, her boyfriend & dogs.  We had a wonderful time.  I enjoyed this much needed vacation.

#2 We went shopping one day while it was raining.  While shopping, I found this chap stick.  I absolutely LOVE it!!! It is Savannah Bee Company natural organic Earl Grey Beeswax lip balm.  What caught my eye was the Earl Grey.  I love Earl Grey  tea so I figured I'd love it... And I do!!!

#3. My Grandmother had never seen Honey Boo Boo. So on Wednesday night we sat and watched a few episodes of it. I think we just made her a fan too ;)

#4 Yesterday on the way home from the beach we stopped at a welcome center that had a Starbucks in it. I found these Berry Hibiscus refresher packets and had to get them! I didn't like the actual drink because of the clumps of berry in it, but I liked the over all taste of it.  Excited to drink some!

#5 I finally finished Megan McCains book Dirty Sexy Politics! I loved it.  It is a non-fictional book about her father, John McCain's campaign, and the role she played in it.  It was very good!

Family Nail Night

Wow! What a night! It was a rainy day at the beach today, so I decided I needed some nail polish to give me something to do. We went to walmart to pick up a few things and I found this nail polish I loved. On one of my previous blog post I talked about these Cheetah nail gellies.  I was looking for them and couldn't find them anywhere.  I found a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen and this cute Revlon Scented Nail Polish. (#355 Mad About Mango) So I figured I could make my own cheetah prints.

First I painted my Grandmothers, Mommas and my nails with the Revlon polish.

Then my awesome future brother-in-law painted the cheetah dots on my nails with the Nail Art Pin since I couldn't do it for myself.  (How awesome is he!?!?)

Not too shabby! Thanks a lot J! :)

Then, my dad fell asleep....you know what that means!

He was completely out. I CAN NOT believe he never woke up while I was doing this or hasn't caught it yet....He is sooo gonna kill me! Muah haha! ;) I may or may not be hitch- hiking my way back home from vacation lol!

This Is The Day

While vacationing, I have been relaxing and soaking up the sun.  While sitting back in the sun and watching the beautiful ocean I have been doing a lot of thinking.  I am so incredibly blessed.  I have been lucky to have such a wonderful family, great husband and the best friends a girl could ask for. I don't think my life can get any better.

This picture makes me think of the verse my mom said earlier:
This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.-Psalm 118:24

My Fab 5 of The Week

1. MLT final. I was dreading Monday because of my last final, but boy was I glad it was over with.

2. Wednesday N & I went for a walk around our little town.  I showed him a new park I found and we walked by the river.  It was such a beautiful day. I love getting quality time with my man :)

The river by our home.

3. Thursday my dear N took me to Drake's Well. It was the very first well that was drilled in the US. I have been wanting me to visit it because N would get really excited when ever he would talk about it.  I learned so much about the Oil & Gas Industry.  (Blog Post about that coming soon) I am so proud of my husband :)

4. On our way home from Drakes Well, N found this beauty. If N sells his SUV this may very well be ours :)

Funny Honey Boo Boo Video Spoof

The other night I was watching Chelsea Lately and I saw a hilarious spoof.  Fortune Feimster, one of the comedians Chelsea has on her show, Played the part of Honey Boo Boo and her Momma June.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! ;)

Happy Friday everyone! :)

DIY Pom Pom Fringe Scarf

This scarf is super easy to make!

First pick out your fabric and some pom pom fringe. (Make sure the fabric is really thin)

You'll need about 2 1/2  yards of fabric. Lay it all out flat and cut straight down the middle vertically.  (This will make 2 scarves)

Next, start pinning each of the long sides. (You want to fold it twice so when you sew the sides it doesn't ravel later on during use)

Then start sewing! Sew both of the long sides.  Then put it around your neck and figure out how long you want it.  If you want it shorter, just cut one of the short ends, fold twice and sew it too.

Once you are finished sewing each side of the scarf, start pinning the pom pom fringe to the long sides of the scarf.

Finally, sew the fringe to the scarf.

Voila! Your finished!
